Voucher 017. Contemporary Indonesian Dance Workshop by Meryl Asika
Are you interested to learn some Indonesian basics but find folkloric dances to be boring? Are you a member of a dance, sport or theatre group interested in adding some Indonesian colour into your repertoire?
Meryl Asika is an architecture student in Darmstadt. She is wrapping up her studies and is planning to pursue further education in the UK in the near future. She started with ballet and jazz ballet when she was 5 in the renowned Namarina ballet academy in Jakarta, Indonesia, while acquiring her traditional basics through the compulsory traditional dance program at scholl. She has been dancing her whole life, and has been active in many productions, both as dancers and choreographer. Meryl describes her signature style as a fusion between traditional Indonesian dance and modern dance techniques, accompanied by modern songs, to prove that Indonesian dance is adaptable and fun to learn.
In the framework of this charity action, Meryl is offering a 90-minute dance workshop. The listed price is 30 Euro for up to 5 participants, or 50 Euro for up to 10 participants. This offer is valid currently for Frankfurt and Darmstadt areas, but please drop us a message in case your area is outside these cities, but you are very keen in having Meryl over.
